This Kid is on Fire

Huge Shout out to Owen Clifford on not only winning his first Singles tennis tournament ever 3 weeks ago at an NC L5 but following it up with his 2nd title NC L4 and 3rd title, another NC L5 for back to back to back wins. Way to go Owen, we are so proud of you!


​​Congrats to all of the RPTA players that Qualified for Super Nationals in Arizona. Big Shout out to Hardy Brown, Bennett Crane, Meredith Roberts, Collin Shick, Peyton Pesavento and Jessica Largen just on the honor of getting into one of the most prestigious Junior tournaments in the country. Some notable Results include

-Bennett Crane reached the round of 16 in singles and got 4th place in doubles

-Hardy Brown made it to the round of 32 in singles

-Meredith Roberts picked up 4 singles wins

-Collin Shick picked up 3 singles wins

-Peyton Pesavento made it to the round of 64 in singles and the round of 16 in doubles. 

RPTA Players show up to play in Arizona

RPTA Students Dominate at RecentTournaments
In Norcross, GA (Nat'l level 4), unseeded Hardy Brown swept the field and won his 1st B18's tournament!  In Del Ray Beach, FL (Nat'l level 2), unseeded Bennett Crane made the finals in singles and finished 3rd in doubles (B18's); Collin Shick, also unseeded, made the quarter finals of the B16's; Whitley Pate (G12's) won 3 rounds; Meredith Roberts (G18's) and Ellis Brown (G16's) both won a round!  In Glen Neck, NY (Nat'l level 2), Peyton Pesavento won 2 rounds in the G 18's.
In Elkin, NC (NC level 4),  hometown favorite, Ryan Macy won the B16's; Owen Clifford won his 2nd consecutive tournament in the B12's; and Pavan Meka won the B14's consolation!

In Charlotte at Sardis Swim and Racquet Club (NC level 4), William Barker won the B18's and Andrea Volcan won the G18's consolation!

RPTA Player Achieves Blue Chip Rating and Makes a College Decision

Only the top 25 players in the nation are given this rating.  Please join us in congratulating Bennett Crane on earning this sought after distinction in his class.  Bennett has worked very hard over the last 10 years to achieve this goal!  Way to go Bennett!!  

We would also like to congratulate Bennett on his recent commitment to Indiana University.  Bennett will join the Hoosiers' team in the fall of 2016.  In addition to Indiana, Bennett was recruited by Wake Forest University, the University of North Carolina, NCSU, Virginia Tech, Pepperdine, University of Alabama, University of South Carolina, Harvard and Columbia University.


Congrats to all of the RPTA players who have been competing hard over the past few weeks and had some great results.

Big shout out to Laura Becker for bringing home the 1st place singles trophy in the Girl's 16's at the Kiawah STA L3. Jack Oldis had a great showing in Kiawah as well by making the Semi's of the boys 18's singles and Ryan Macy won the backdraw of the Boy's 16's.

Notable Results for Mobile Alabama at the STA L2

-Jessica Largen picked up 6th place in the Girl's 16's

-Collin Shick finished 9th in the B18's

-William Barker won 2 rounds in the B 16's

​Great job to all of the RPTA players that have been taking advantage of our early morning 630-8am Indoor training this Winter in preparation for 2016. Keep working hard guys and all these early mornings will be worth it!
